Heath has worked in the field of neurodiversity/special education since 2004, as a school learning services director, curriculum developer for neurodiverse learners, instructional specialist, classroom lead teacher, and coach. No matter what hat/sweater they wear, they are always focused on the whole child – the emotional and cognitive factors that support student success. 

Heath holds an MS.Ed.  in Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education and holds a Certificate in Educational Therapy from UC Riverside. They are a member of the Association of Educational Therapists (AET) at the “Professional" level. Heath is trained in Making Math Real through Algebra II, Structured Word Inquiry, and Slingerland methodologies. They provide evidence-based, highly tailored intervention in reading, writing, and math to students in elementary school through college. Colleagues and clients at Young Neuro are consistently impressed with their commitment to excellence and care in their work. 

Heath also holds a master’s degree in music in bassoon performance from the University of British Columbia. When not working with students and families, Heath enjoys writing poetry, hiking in Tilden, listening to K-pop and visiting the gym.
